Drosendorf2

In the beginning designed as stay and play course, in 1996 the 18-hole-course was commissioned by the ÖGV and made handicap-fit. However, Drosendorf is still a little bit public, Gerald Scheubrein, 2nd son of the owner family Scheubrein, describes the beginner friendliness of the club. Indeed, Drosendorf takes away the fear of golf beginners in a ideal way, because the Scheibreins designed the club and it’s surrounding area with lots of heart and uncomplicated. All family Scheubrein, mother, father and their 3 sons is in charge of everything within the club, from the job as head-green keeper down to the barkeeper. Even the course itself – not too long, not too difficult, wholeheartedly – the Scheubreins designed by themselves. Its compactness forces some fairway crossings, where rules of law are not valid, but rules of the course: At the first tee you are just allowed to hit the ball, after politely having asked the players of the putting Green to briefly stop practising. Players at the 17th Green as well as those at tee 3, 16 and 18 need to be warned “fore” in advance, in order to hit off the 2nd tee.
