102 GC Bad Tatzmannsdorf [0]

A PLACE IN THE SUN – With powerful breathes of air you are plowing through the lush pool area and you reflect on the miss of one or another putt.

Thermal-golf in the sunny hills of Southern Burgenland

Your muscles are getting more and more relaxed, so does your mind. You are ready for the next day, which could be quite similar. At the end of the day, Reiter’s Burgenland Resort with its two houses, placed magnificently just above the golf course, represents first and foremost something for Golf purists. Also on a second thought. Where else could you find a bedside table almost at the first tee?

Harmonious, because not only for golf novices, but also for advanced and expert golfers the David-Lead better-Academy, which is connected to the resort, is ever so interesting, due to the 18-hole and its complementary 9-hole-course.  The „small course“ is good fun as well and perfectly cared for as the big one and even for experts not at all a „run-through“.

Logically, the jewel is the 18-hole championship course, which had have a lot of top stars as guests at various tournaments – such as former Austrian Open winner Alex Cejka. By the way: The course record is held by the Australian Brett Ogle, with an excellent 67 strokes – just so you know, how to create your game. The entrance into the round, thanks to two relatively short par-4 holes, is designed very pleasantly. Within the first nine holes, all golfers will get to know the most challenging hole of the course – starting from the most backward tee, a 420 meters long Par 4. With Out on the left, water on the right and a pond in front of the green, this hole 5 is one of the most difficult holes in Austria. As the Scots, as inventors of golf, say so well: That sorts the man out of the boys.

Some fairways in front of the balconies of Reiter’s Burgenland Resort (7/8/9) make hotel guests to critical lodge guests, so please pretend ambition. The second nine holes also need respect and insistence, which offer a sensational finish with the holes 16/17/18. After the last putt there is only one thing: a nice jump into the pool – with the best intentions for the next round.
